Mount Subasio Park
The park of spirituality
In the area of the Mount Subasio Park lies the town Assisi, the mystical epicentre of the region, which gives the park a spiritual aura.
From the summit (1290 m) you can enjoy a view over the valley and the beautiful towns of Spello and Nocera Umbra. Inside the park are the Hermitage of the Prisons, the hermits' caves and the centuries-old holm oak of St Francis.
For sports enthusiasts, there are numerous activities, such as paragliding and free flight, thanks to the favourable air current conditions. These sports make it possible to exploit the thrust of the pilot's legs and fly using only the power of the wind, with no engine and no noise.
It is a gentle experience, like the gradual detachment from the ground and then rising to altitude using the updrafts to observe our world from a different, privileged and solitary point of view.
